Video Paintings I est une expérience dans les domaines de la glitch art qui utilise une nouvelle méthode pour produire un effet plus subtil que le datamosh traditionnel. Cet effet est crée premièrement par un texte - un script - qui produit une séquence d'images statiques (des JPEGs) de l'interpolation d'une vidéo et d'une image. Cette séquence est utilisée pour composer une nouvelle vidéo; c'est donc une transition de l'image statique à l'image en mouvement à l'image statique encore une fois.
Au système de codification des vidéos numérique, son influence sur l'univers de la pornographie et l'esthétisation du erreur numérique (si présent dans les vidéos adultes diffusés en ligne), s'oppose le morceau de film choisi: Deep Throat, un classique de l'histoire du cinéma x-rated, ici écarté de son circuit conditionné par les spécificités du cinéma argentique.

Video Paintings I is an exploration on glitching using a new method to produce an effect more subtle than the usual datamosh. To create this effect, the movement of the video was applied to a choosen image - in this case, the video's first frame - during its whole length. The result is a blurry, rather Impressionist image.
A script, which is a simple text, generates an image sequence from the interpolation of a still image and a video. From this image sequence, another video is created. A transition occurs from the moving image to the still image to the moving image back again
The main subjects of the work are the encoding aspects of digital pornography, its specifities and the aesthetisation of the digital errors, ever so present in online sex flicks; to contrast these caracteristics, the choosen original video is an excerpt from the adult cinema classic Deep Throat, displaced from its original analog cinema circuit to the digital world.
Endless Streak est un film pornographique potentiellement infini; une expérience formaliste de montage inspirée par l'œuvre de Ken Jacobs, Tom Tom The Piper's Son. Il a été réalisé a partir de quelques cadres d'un film pornographique. Ces cadres sont enlargés et selectionés aléatoirement par un algorithme computationnel, dans un processus génératif qui crée une tension lorsqu'il insinue l'acte sexuel sans jamais le révéler. Ce qu'on veut mettre en question est plutôt le langage de la cinématographie adulte, ses caractéristiques de compression, ses encadrements et sa dynamique répétitive.

Endless Streak is a potentially infinite porn movie; a formalistic experience on montage inspired by the work of Ken Jacobs (Tom Tom The Piper's Son). It is made from a few frames from an actual skin flick; those frames are enlarged and played in loop. Every time the sequence restarts, the image is randomly reframed by a computational algorithm. This generative process creates a highly ob-scene tension, hinting at sex, but never really showing it. What is foregrounded is the very language of digital pornography: body close-ups and repetitive motion.
